Today I’m going to tell you a little about the book that changed mine and my family’s life, Trim Healthy Mama.
It’s not uncommon for people to ask me how I’m the size I am since I have birthed 8 1/2 babies.
(one I lost when I was 5 months pregnant)
In today’s society it’s not uncommon to see very overweight moms of just a couple of kids. But why? What makes me different? I’m by no means uber skinny but I’m healthy and I’m not extremely large. Even with the baby weight I need to lose. So what I am doing that sets me apart from some of my siblings, my parents and some other moms.
It’s simple. It’s what I eat and how often.
If you haven’t heard of Trim Healthy Mama I highly suggest you looking into it. I make no money saying that. I just truly believe in it because of how it has blessed me and sooo many others.
So what does it do?
That’s simple. In the beginning of the book it educates on the human body and how we process foods such as carbohydrates and fats. It’s not some crazy book that tells you to avoid one or the other. On the contrary, it tells us that we need both to be healthy. Pearl and Serene did years of research and what they came up with was nothing short of amazing. For you Christians reading this they even went straight to God’s Word to see what He said about food. After all, He created us. That sparked my attention instantly.
Not only did they pack it full of information that will change the way you view foods and how you eat. They also included tons of incredibly tasty and easy recipes in the back of the book!
As far as I’m concerned, Trim Healthy Mama and Plexus go hand in hand.
I won’t lie. I haven’t lived a THM life only. There have been seasons I haven’t eaten that way. But I can tell you that I always return to it and I always will. Why? Because it’s smart and good for me. That’s why. And I don’t feel deprived.
