It’s been a rough few weeks here in our home. We’ve dealt with Adrenal Fatigue, Thyroid issues, Finding out we’re Allergic to just about everything edible, Working long hours without 1 day off in two weeks, a Third Degree Burn, a Miscarriage, the Death of a Loved one and the Military messing up our Pay. It has been trying to say the least.
As a Christian mom, what do I teach my children when life gets hard?
Did I run and hide when I lost the baby? No. (I wanted to)
Did I pout and moan when our paycheck didn’t show up, again. (a little)
I kept living. Was I mad? You betcha! Was I sad? More than words can say!
So what did I do?
I did the only thing that ever helps in situations like what we’ve been going through. I cried out to the One who loves me more than anyone else in the world, more than my mother, my husband, my children… more than anyone.
I called out to my Jesus.
In doing so I taught my daughters to do the same.
The above picture is of our baby girl, Ashlyn, singing her favorite song by Kari Jobe, “No Sweeter Name.”
If you’re having a hard time right now and you don’t know what to do. Maybe there is only one thing you can do. Call out to Him. He’s waiting and He loves you! Saying His precious name is powerful! It can heal and it can convict. Devils trmble at the name of Jesus.
At the sound of His name, one day every knee will bow.
