Hey y’all! I hope you had a terrific Thanksgiving! Our was a little out of the ordinary this year but it turned out to be a really great day.
This year was the first ever that I have gone totally Sugar Free on Thanksgiving.
Yep, you read that right!
Totally. Sugar. Free.
My thoughts exactly! lol
I have to say that I surprised myself and it turned out well! I am currently 26 weeks pregnant and am monitoring my blood sugar levels regularly. Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite holidays and the thought of going sugar free was no big thrill for me. I just knew it needed to be done. So done it was. The rest of my family only ate one thing with sugar in it… cranberry sauce out of the can. lol I made my own from fresh cranberries. And wouldn’t you know, all my kiddos wanted to eat some of mommy’s. Go figure. lol
K, so without further adieu I thought I would just jump on in to some pictures.
Like I said, this year we did things a little different. Because I’m 26 weeks pregnant and I do the lights on our Christmas tree we decided to decorate our whole home and tree early. I don’t think I’ll repeat that next year but it was okay for this one. This was the first Thanksgiving our tree was up and decorated. Here’s our 2 year old helping hang ornaments. Can you tell she was excited to be helping! lol
And here’s my little man, Joshua while the girls were busy decorating. He is seriously a ray of sunshine!
I can’t believe he’s 8 months old and I’m almost 6 months pregnant with his brother.
God never ceases to amaze me!
And might I add that when he sees me get my camera out he immediately smiles.

Back to Thanksgiving and my Sugar Free meal. Take a look. Yummy!

My sugar free sweet potato crunch was Ah…MAZING!
For real y’all…
The one year I only make one 8×8. I won’t be making that mistake again. I thought everyone was going to cry when it was all gone.
The sugar free cranberry sauce was yummy too but nothing compared to this sweet potato heaven.
Well, except maybe the SF desserts.

Okay…okay… I guess I made y’all wait long enough. Here are a couple of pics of our desserts. This year I didn’t have much time so I decided to make SF Pumpkin Pie with homemade SF shipped topping and Crustless Cheesecake. Honestly, I have a terrific SF/GF recipe for crust. I just didn’t have the time. It turned out simply divine even without the crust. I also made SF cherries for the topping. Oh.. my…word… that cheesecake was insane!
Both desserts were soo yummy… but that cheesecake… well there were no words.
Once all was said and done everyone enjoyed the rest of the day and talked in anticipation of the return of our family’s Elf on the Shelf, ‘Tinsel Mc Biggles!’
