Adrenal Fatigue and Goats

Goats & Adrenal Fatigue

How’s that for a bizarre title? lol

If but for a moment you will follow the road of my words I will shed light on the unusual title of today’s Blog post.

I’ll start with this…

I suffer from Adrenal Fatigue.

With that being said, I try to do what I can to help them heal, to the best of my ability of course.  When you have adrenal fatigue anything that relaxes you is good. Anything that stresses you is bad.  It’s really that simple. In another post I plan on telling y’all some of what I do to help my adrenals. For now though, this post is about one thing that has helped me in the past.

I miss goats.

If you would have told me three years ago that I would have ever made that statement I would have thought you were crazy and laughed at you never believed you.

But seriously, I do.

A lot.

And so do my kids.

There’s just something serene about goats. Now if you’re not familiar with goats then I can understand how I may sound a bit off my rocker but hear me out.

(The above deer looking beauties are two of our past goats, Clove and her sister Nutmeg. I named them. Can you tell I love my essential oils? lol)

I have been around several types of goats such as Boar goats, Saanen’s, Drarf’s and Nubian’s, as well as some of those breeds mixed. As of today, Nubians are my favorite. They remind me of dogs. If you’re new to the world of goats I bet that sounds weird but it’s true. My goats reminded me of sweet tempered dogs. Every day I would go out to feed them, give them treats, (goats LOVE treats) or just to be with them and I got nothing but love in return. Oodles and oodles of love.

We got Clove and Nutmeg when they were 1 year old and they took to us as if we had been there when they were born. We would go outside and walk into our back pasture and every time they would come up to us and love on us. They loved it when we pet their head and talked to them. And they were always up for a walk around the pasture. Where we went, they went. I sure do miss them.

(The below picture: Rose and Clarity, (our Saanen sisters)-more Young Living Essential Oil names. 😉 )

Although not all people are animal people, if you are and have land I highly suggest looking into getting a couple goats. If you have adrenal fatigue like me, they may just be another welcome addition to your new found stress relievers.

Goats love you.

And they poop outside.

What’s not to love about that?! lol

Till next time…
